Behind the view
From a camera at a trackside host to a player in your home, RailStream is built around the picture, the sound, and the moments you do not want to miss.
Useful technology should make the railroad feel closer and the player easier to use.
RailStream works with local hosts to bring trackside views to railfans wherever they are.
Digital sound processing is used across the network. More than 90% of sites offer stereo audio, and La Grange, Illinois offers 5.1 surround.
Supported cameras offer multiple stream qualities so the player can adapt to your connection and device.
Supported cameras and plans offer DVR rewind. The available window can reach nine days; check each camera for its current range.
Our team operates the streaming infrastructure and monitors camera sites. You can check current camera health on the status page.
Paid plans add more cameras, multi-view layouts, and ad-free watching. Engineer includes supported mobile and TV apps.

Our infrastructure
Mike and Andrea started RailStream in 2011. The network has grown through hands-on engineering and partnerships with the people who host cameras at railroad locations.
